Horse Back Riding

Share and unforgettable experience riding on a deserted beach and spectacular natural landscapes of rivers, mountains and forest accompanied by local cowboys and bilingual nature guide. Enjoy this amazing experience on sunset ride or morning venture.

Enjoy this horse tour in a working, family owned ranch that encompasses approximately 1900 ha (or 4500 acres) on the coast in the heart of the Nicoya Peninsula. It is a magical place where the Guanacaste sabanero culture is still a way of life. This property is home to some of the area’s most important watersheds, as well as key turtle nesting sites. Part of it is known as the Caletas–Arío Wildlife Refuge.

This Hacienda has been working for over a decade to create a model for sustainable development where healthy living and horses are an integral and essential part of life. The quality and training of the horses we use make this tour perfect for either novice or experienced riders. Just let us know what you prefer and we’ll get the right horse for you.

If you are driving your own vehicle, the guide can meet you at your hotel and you can follow him. You can also hire a taxi if you prefer the convenience. The place where the tour begins is approximately 20 minutes from Santa Teresa/Mal País.

Montezuma Falls Quest

Your visit to the Nicoya Peninsula is not complete without a trip to the small beach town of Montezuma.

Montezuma beach is world-famous for the beauty of its hills, beaches, rivers and local waterfalls. This tour includes a visit to the town and waterfalls, a ride along zip lines, and an ATV trip.

This tour begins by taking off on an ATV towards the zip line canopy in Mal País. Once there you will go from treetop to treetop on one of the most exciting zip-lines in the country while enjoying the great views of the tropical forest and the Pacific Ocean.

Continue the adventure while riding your ATV through the mountains and along white sand beaches. In Montezuma take a short hike to the amazing waterfalls. There are three falls in total, the largest of which is 24 meters (79 ft.). Below the falls are large pools where you can swim and cool off from your ride.

After all the adventure, relax and enjoy a Costa Rican lunch in one of the best local restaurants, then walk around town and get some souvenirs from local artisans or from the wonderful stores which exhibit exquisite art made out of wood, shells, bones and precious stones.

All of this in just one tour! Great for the whole family! This tour is also available without the zip-line. ATV rental is included!
