Costa Rican Farm Tour - Blue zone experience

Blue Zones is a concept used to identify a demographic and/or geographic area of the world where people live measurably longer lives. In Costa Rica, the Nicoya Peninsula is one of those areas. The residents of these regions live healthier and longer lives, produce a high rate of centenarians, suffer a fraction of the diseases that commonly kill people in other parts of the developed world, and enjoy more healthy years of life.

We have designed a tour that lets you participate in the daily life of a typical Costa Rican farm. You will witness how the farmers live such a healthy lifestyle. Their recipe to achieve these high standards of quality life is based on strong family ties, faith, plant base diet, constant physical activity, sunshine, no smoking and no alcohol.

Some of the activities you can be part of, include, milking cows, making traditional fresh cheese, and the entire process of making raw sugar (from harvesting the sugarcane to extracting its sweet juices and then cooking it). This tour includes breakfast, made with fresh ingredients that come from the farm.

The farm is located approximately 40 minutes from Santa Teresa/Mal País area. If you are driving your own vehicle, the guide can meet you at your hotel and you can follow or we can provide transportation service if you prefer the convenience.
