The province of Guanacaste is one of the most beautiful places in the country, it is situated on Costa Rica´s northwest part, bordered by Nicaragua in the north and the Pacific Ocean in the west. This region counts with a pristine coastline, a picturesque mountain range in the east where a number of volcanoes can be found, and to the south, the Tempisque river and its wetlands.
