HORSEBACK RIDING

Share and unforgettable experience riding on a deserted beach and on spectacular natural landscapes, crossing rivers, hills and forest, accompanied by a local cowboy and a bilingual naturalist guide. Enjoy this amazing experience on sunset ride or morning venture.

Enjoy this horse tour in a working, family-owned coastal ranch that encompasses approximately 1900 ha (4500 acres) in the heart of the Nicoya Peninsula. It is a magical place where the Guanacaste sabanero culture is still a way of life. This property is home to some of the area’s most important watersheds, as well as key turtle nesting sites. Part of it is known as the Caletas–Arío Wildlife Refuge.

This Hacienda has been working for over a decade to create a model for sustainable development where healthy living and horses are an integral and essential part of life. The quality and training of the horses we use make this tour perfect for either novice or experienced riders. Just let us know what you prefer and we’ll get the right horse for you.

The ranch where this tour takes place is approximately 20 minutes north from Santa Teresa/Mal País.
